Jake's Custom Carts ("Jake's", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you visit jakescustomcarts.com, request a quote, or buy a cart from us — and what we do with that information.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you submit a quote on a product page, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the cart you're interested in, and any notes or accessory selections you make. If you call or email, we may also keep a record of that conversation.
Information collected automatically. When you use the site, our servers and analytics tools automatically log standard technical details: your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and timestamps. We use industry-standard cookies to remember things like your marketing-attribution source and your in-progress cart selections.
Information from advertising partners. If you arrive from an ad, the ad platform (Meta or Google) shares limited click context with us so we can attribute your visit. We never receive a list of users who saw an ad without clicking.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Build and deliver the cart you requested (or the closest match) and follow up with a quote.
- Process deposits and payments through our payment processor and any financing partners you choose.
- Schedule delivery and provide post-purchase service via our mobile technicians.
- Send you order updates, service reminders, and (if you opt in) marketing emails or texts.
- Improve our website, ads, and customer experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Cookies, Pixels, and Tracking Technologies
This site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep things working and to help us measure ad performance. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the site (such as the quote-form anti-spam protections) may not work properly without them.
Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API. We use Meta's Pixel and the server-side Meta Conversions API to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook and Instagram ads. When you visit the site or submit a quote, we send Meta a hashed version of your email and phone number (so they can match you anonymously to an ad without ever giving us your Facebook profile), along with your IP address and the page you visited. You can manage your Meta ad preferences in your Meta account settings.
Google Ads. We use Google's gtag conversion tracking to measure search and display ad performance. You can opt out of personalized Google ads in your Google Ads Center.
First-party site cookies. Our site sets a small number of cookies on your device — primarily to remember the marketing source that brought you to us (so we can correctly attribute your quote) and to keep your in-progress quote data ready while you browse. These cookies expire automatically within 30 days.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the business — our website host, customer-relationship-management (CRM) software, email and SMS providers, and payment processor.
- Financing partners you choose, including Octane, Dealer Direct, Magwitch, and Synchrony. If you click through to apply, your information becomes subject to their privacy policies, which we encourage you to review before submitting an application.
- Delivery and logistics partners when shipping your cart out of state.
- Advertising partners Meta and Google, in the limited form described in Section 3 above.
- Law enforcement or other parties when we are legally required to or when necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety.
5. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep quote and customer information for as long as necessary to run our business — typically the lifetime of your relationship with us, plus any period required by tax, warranty, or other legal obligations. Marketing-attribution cookies expire within 30 days of your last visit. Server access logs are typically retained for 90 days.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Marketing opt-out. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email by clicking the unsubscribe link, and from texts by replying STOP. We will continue to send transactional messages (such as order updates) as long as you are an active customer.
Cookie controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. You can also opt out of Meta and Google personalized advertising at the links provided in Section 3.
State privacy rights. If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have about you;
- Request a copy of that information;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- Ask us to delete your information (subject to legal exceptions like tax recordkeeping);
- Opt out of "sharing" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — i.e., turn off the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tracking described above.

7. Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information — including HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed transmission of personal identifiers to ad partners, and access controls on our internal systems. No system is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that your information will never be accessed without authorization.
9. Out-of-State Visitors and EU Notice
Jake's Custom Carts is based in Tampa, Florida. If you visit our site from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country. We do not actively market to residents of the European Union or United Kingdom.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. If we make a material change, we will post a prominent notice on the site or notify active customers by email.
